Create a Google My Business account

If you want your local business to show up in a Google search, you’ll need a Google My Business listing. When customers use Google to look for businesses like yours, Google My Business assists them in finding you. For your local business to rank well on Google, you’ll need a Google My Business listing.

If you don’t have one, you’re missing out on a lot with a Google My Business account. It’s great because Google My Business is completely free, making it the best internet marketing tool available!

Google My Business can help you get found.

Even if you have a physical business, you must have a strong online presence. Why? Because the majority of customers and prospects start their search for a product or service online. Google is where most individuals begin their internet search for all products and services.

When someone searches for your local services on Google, they may come across your business, but having a strong Google My Business page is really beneficial. A well-designed Google My Business listing displays (or hides) your address, business hours, products, services, photographs, information about your company, photos, any articles you publish, and much more.

Google My Business can also help you rank higher in local searches. When someone searches for you on Google, your Google profile business may appear on the right side of page one. That’s fantastic. It’s also completely free.

Your Google My Business profile might help you receive results even if you already have a website and social media accounts. Basic metrics are also available through Google My Business accounts, allowing you to know how many times your Google My Business page has been clicked, if people have phoned you, and if they have visited your website. All of this material is quite beneficial. And, more crucially, it has the potential to result in sales.

Google My Business Assists Customers In Staying Informed

Don’t rely on third-party sites like Yelp, online YellowPages, TripAdvisor, and others to offer information about your business. When people do a search for your company, they should be able to discover accurate information from YOU. You don’t want your customers to be left guessing, or worse, misinformed.

Your Google My Company profile includes information such as your name, address, phone number, contact information, business hours, and more. You can use updates to introduce new services, temporarily close your business, discuss COVID-19 business developments, and much more.

Google My Business Increases Your Credibility

Customers are 70% more likely to visit firms with a Google My Business listing, and businesses with a GMB listing are twice as likely to acquire customer trust.

When it comes to buying a purchase, trust is crucial. The more assured a customer is, the more inclined they are to purchase. According to research, a decent Google My Business profile improves visits by 38% and reveals that 29% of those visitors are more likely to make a purchase.

Reviews on Google My Business

Google My Business reviews also aid in the development of trust. Consumers are equally as trusting of online reviews as they are of personal recommendations, according to 88 percent of respondents. Positive feedback allows visitors to gain a better understanding of you and your company. When you’ve done an excellent job for someone, email them your Google review link and ask for a Google review. While asking for a review may seem strange at first, get into the practice of doing so. Also, whether the review is nice or negative, remember to respond to it online. A piece regarding what to do if you get a bad Google review may be found here.

Adding Your Company to Google My Business

1st option:

Sign up for Google My Business or log in if you already have an account. Look for your company and pick it. Then go through the processes to make sure you’re the rightful owner.

Option number two:

In Google Maps, find your company listing and select “Manage this listing.”

Option three:

Click “Own this business?” on Google Search after finding the business listing.

Don’t worry if you can’t complete the Google My Business profile completely at first. You can change your information after you’ve validated (by postal mail or possibly a phone call… it depends) that you’re the owner.

Editing your Google My Business listing

When you have to make changes to your home Google My Business account:

• Go to Google My Business and log in.

• Go to the location you wish to edit and open it.

Post pictures… a lot of pictures

Upload a logo and a cover photo to your Google My Business page when you create it. These aid in the recognition and understanding of your brand. If your office or store is open to the public, you should also publish photos of the interior and exterior.

Photos aid in the promotion of your location, products/services, and work. Businesses with graphics receive 42 percent more directions queries and 35 percent more website clicks. Make sure your images are sharp, stunning, and in focus. A nice image can help you sell your product.

Post any new information, updates, or special offers.

Your critical information, such as your address, hours, and contact information, should always be current and accurate. If something changes, make sure to update this information.

You can also use postings to keep clients informed about updates, new items, special offers, and events. These updates maintain your profile up to date and encourage people to visit your physical or online store.

Final Thoughts

People will find you if you have a well-developed and complete Google My Business profile. But keep in mind that this isn’t a one-time project. Every week, you must write a post, include one or two photos with captions, and keep the page FRESH. Make sure you’re using legal images. Do not take them from Google. A post regarding obtaining/using legal photos on your website may be found here.

ACS Website And Digital Marketing can help you if you don’t have the time or energy to do it yourself. Many Google My Business pages are created, managed, and updated by us. The first setup is a low fixed charge that covers everything from your contact information to your services, photographs, logo, cover image, and more. We can then create a post and/or update the page once a week to maintain your Google My Business page looking excellent and help Google index and advertise your business more effectively.
